The PigWare Trial Begins: Day One on Two UK Pig Farms

Today marks the first day of PigWare — a new 12-month trial running on two UK pig farms, funded by ADOPT, part of Innovate UK.

The BioChain is a key partner in the trial alongside the two participating farms. PigWare’s aim is straightforward: to improve the sustainability of UK pig farming by giving farmers better tools for tracking and understanding what happens on their farms, from health and welfare through to production data.

Over the coming 12 months, what we learn from PigWare will go on to develop HerdWare, our wider platform for livestock data. We’ll share more as the trial progresses.
